AFGHAN WIRELESS LAUNCHES NATION’S AIRTIME CREDIT LOAN PROGRAM PROTECTING ELIGIBLE SUBSCRIBERS FROM SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS

Kabul, Afghanistan—September 16, 2019Afghan Wireless Communication Company (AWCC) (www.afghan-wireless.com 1), the nation's first mobile communications company, and Afghanistan's leading provider of 4G LTE, HD Voice, Data, Entertainment and Mobile Payment services to over 5,000,000 consumers and businesses, demonstrated its unmatched leadership in providing subscribers with innovative communications solutions, with the launch of the AWCC Airtime Credit Loan—a service that protects subscribers with low account balances from service interruptions, by providing them with an immediate, short-term advance of airtime credit.

AWCC's Airtime Credit Loan—Afghanistan's airtime advance service—will be offered to qualified AWCC subscribers with account balances of 2 AFN or less. Subscriber accounts with balances of 2 AFN or below will receive an immediate notification, inviting the subscriber to receive an airtime credit loan. Subscribers can accept the loan by sending a short SMS reply code to AWCC. Once the reply code is received, the airtime credit is immediately transferred to the subscribers account.

The value of the airtime credit loan is based upon the subscriber's account history with AWCC. Subscribers repay their airtime credit loan at the time that they provide new funding to their wireless accounts.

AWCC's Airtime Credit Loan is available to network subscribers who have been AWCC subscribers for at leas 90 days, and who have recharged their accounts with at least 150 AFN for three consecutive months.

“AWCC's Airtime Credit Loan enables the vast majority of our subscribers to enjoy uninterrupted access to Afghanistan's most advanced communications network, regardless of their account balance,” said Dr. Ehsanollah Bayat, the Founder of AWCC and Chairman of The Bayat Group. “Our determination to provide our subscribers with innovative, accessible and affordable communications services, is the latest demonstration of AWCC's powerful commitment to connect Afghans to one another—and to the world.”
