| Job Summary: |
| The IN Engineer is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting IN platforms and related systems to ensure service availability, accurate charging, and smooth operation of telecom services. |
| Job Responsibilities: |
| – Monitor and maintain IN platforms, including OpenShift-hosted applications.
– Perform daily system checks and ensure system health across production, disaster recovery, and test bed environments. – Support tariff configuration and implementation of telecom services. – Troubleshoot issues related to charging, billing, and signaling. – Analyze basic signaling traffic (Diameter, SS7, SMPP, HTTP, …etc.). – Support UAT/ATP and service validation activities. – Generate system and performance reports. – Perform backup and restore operations. – Support system patching, upgrades, and maintenance. – Maintain Linux/Unix systems and assist in virtualization environments. – Collaborate with internal teams for service delivery and issue resolution. – Follow operational procedures and escalate issues when required. – Serve day-to-day requests coming from CC, Billing, Back Office, Marketing and other internal teams. – Attend night activities. – Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager. |
| Job Requirements: |
|
– Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field. – Must have 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience. – Fluent in one of the local languages (Dari, Pashto) and English (written and spoken). – Must have good knowledge of computer programs. – Familiarity with relevant software, tools, and technology specific to the role.\ – Basic knowledge of IN platforms and charging systems, Linux/Unix systems, Telecom protocols (Diameter, SS7, SMPP, SSH, HTTP, TCP/IP, etc. – Familiarity with OpenShift or containerized environments is a plus. – Basic understanding of virtualization (VMware ESXi). – Relevant certificates will be an asset. – Demonstrates a strong work ethic. – Possesses excellent communication skills. – Upholds integrity and honesty. – Capable of performing well under pressure. – Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during work. – Willingness to travel to other provinces and work additional hours. – Adheres to company rules and policies. – Follow the company's rules and policies.
