| Job Summary: |
| The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for on-site quality control of AWCC projects, ensuring compliance with technical and quality standards, conducting inspections, monitoring daily project activities, coordinating with site teams and NRD management, preparing daily and weekly reports, maintaining checklists, and supporting documentation. |
| Job Responsibilities: |
| – Develop and maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including quality manuals, method statements, and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
– Ensure all documents align with international engineering/QC standards and project specifications. – Review technical data sheets and perform receiving inspections for materials entering the site. – Coordinate material testing with certified laboratories and monitor storage and handling practices to ensure compliance with quality standards. – Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to building codes, project specifications, and industry standards. – Monitor compliance with client requirements and contractual obligations. – Conduct regular site inspections to verify that work meets quality standards. – Coordinate third-party testing for critical elements and implement corrective actions for identified defects. – Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality checks. – Prepare and submit quality reports to project managers and stakeholders. – Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to address quality-related issues. – Communicate quality requirements and expectations to all project stakeholders. – Analyze project outcomes to identify areas for improvement in quality management. – Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager. |
| Job Requirements: |
| – Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a relevant field.
– Must have 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience. – Fluent in one of the local languages (Dari, Pashto) and English (written and spoken). – Must have good knowledge of computer programs (MS Project, P6, AutoCAD, SAB, ETAB). – Familiarity with relevant software, tools, and technology specific to the role. – Relevant certificates are an asset. – Demonstrates a strong work ethic. – Possesses excellent communication skills. – Upholds integrity and honesty. – Capable of performing well under pressure. – Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during work. – Willingness to travel to other provinces and work additional hours. – Adheres to company rules and policies. |
