| Job Summary: |
| The A/C Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This includes setting up new units, extending refrigeration lines, and servicing key components such as coils, condensers, heating and condenser pipes, control valves, compressors, fans, blowers, gauges, and traps. He ensures systems are installed correctly, operate efficiently, and are maintained to deliver reliable cooling and heating performance. |
| Job Responsibilities: |
| – Install air conditioning systems as part of alterations, rehabilitations, and project improvements.
– Review and interpret blueprints to understand the architectural layout of pumps, air ducts, vents, supply lines, and other system components before installation. – Handle electrical components, including wiring and controls, ensuring proper connectivity of switches and full functionality of units after installation or repair. – Work with central HVAC systems, performing installation, servicing, and maintenance tasks. – Travel to various provinces across Afghanistan as required by project assignments. – Diagnose, repair, and maintain different types of air conditioning, cooling, and heating systems. – Perform troubleshooting to identify and resolve system issues. – Detect damages and malfunctions in equipment and carry out corrective measures. – Install and service split-type, package-type, and heavy-duty air conditioning units, including those used in data centers. – Replace and install spare parts as needed. – Apply proper charging methods for different refrigerants. – Conduct copper pipe welding (brazing) as part of installation and repair work. – Work with various models and capacities of air conditioning systems, including VRF units. – Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution. – Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager. |
| Job Requirements: |
| – High school graduate or technical school graduate.
– Completion of a vocational course in Air Conditioning and Heating systems is preferable. – 2 to 3 years of relevant experience. – Knowledge of different air conditioning models and capacities, including VRF/VRV units. – Fluent in one of the local languages (Dari or Pashto). An understanding of the English language is an asset. – Possesses a thorough understanding of the tools, equipment, and procedures specific to the job role. – Physically fit to perform tasks. – Demonstrates a strong work ethic. – Upholds integrity and honesty. – Capable of working effectively under pressure. – Willing to travel to other provinces and work additional hours as needed. – Adheres to company rules and policies. |
